报告题目:An equivalent plate model for determining the optimal configuration of an adaptive sandwich structure


报告摘要:

In this presentation, Dr. Raqueti will introduce recent advances in the modeling and design of smart dynamic structures for vibration control. The talk will present the fundamental principles of viscoelastic damping, adaptive sandwich structures, equivalent modeling approaches, and finite element simulation techniques. Particular emphasis will be placed on temperature-dependent viscoelastic materials, whose damping characteristics can be actively tuned through thermal actuation, enabling adaptive vibration mitigation.


报告人简介:

Dr. Rafael Da Silva Raqueti is a postdoctoral researcher at the FEMTO-ST Institute, Université Marie et Louis Pasteur (France). His research focuses on smart structures, structural dynamics, vibration control, viscoelastic damping, and adaptive sandwich structures. He received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering through a joint doctoral program between SUPMICROTECH-ENSMM (France) and the Université de Sherbrooke (Canada). His work combines reduced-order modeling, numerical simulation, and experimental validation for the design and optimization of smart dynamic systems with enhanced vibration attenuation capabilities.

His research is dedicated to the development of adaptive structures with controllable damping properties by integrating finite element analysis, equivalent structural modeling, viscoelastic materials, thermal actuation, and experimental dynamics. He has authored publications in internationally recognized journals, including Journal of Sound and Vibration and Journal of Vibration and Control, and has presented his research at leading international conferences in structural dynamics, vibrations, and acoustics.
