Advanced materials are key drivers of innovation in areas including energy, healthcare, electronics, and sustainable technologies. As a leading international platform for materials research, the European Materials Research Society (E-MRS) promotes interdisciplinary collaboration and identifies emerging research directions with high scientific and technological potential.In this presentation, Prof. Giuseppina Padeletti will introduce the role of E-MRS in fostering international cooperation and discuss some of the most promising research areas identified through its scientific activities and global network. The talk will highlight emerging opportunities in advanced materials, nanostructured materials, sustainable technologies, and their applications in addressing global challenges. The presentation will also emphasize the importance of international collaboration among materials research communities to accelerate innovation, strengthen knowledge exchange, and maximize the global impact of materials science.

报告人简介：

Prof. Giuseppina Padeletti is President of the European Materials Research Society (E-MRS) and Research Director at the Institute for the Study of Nanostructured Materials (ISMN) of the National Research Council of Italy (CNR).Her research focuses on advanced materials, nanostructured materials, functional surfaces, and innovative technologies for applications in energy, environment, healthcare, and cultural heritage. She has authored more than 100 scientific publications and has coordinated several international research projects.She has been actively involved in the international materials research community for many years. She serves as President of E-MRS and has contributed to promoting interdisciplinary research and global cooperation in materials science.
