国家精品课、国家精品资源共享课、国家一流本科课程“工程材料”课程负责人,“工程材料及加工”国家级教学团队负责人。主讲“工程材料”、“现代材料分析技术”课程。曾任教育部材料类教学指导委员会委员。
主要从事非晶合金、高熵合金、非晶纳米晶软磁合金等先进金属材料及其加工与应用研究。主持了国家重点研究发计划项目(“特种软磁合金与应用”项目负责人/首席科学家)、‘973”项目课题、‘863”项目、国家自然科学基金面上项目与联合重点项目、国际合作项目、与企业合作项目的研究工作,发表学术论文400余篇,其中SCI收录论文300余篇,获授权发明专利60余项。
