Research Field
Prof. Kang is interesting in preparation, characterization and application of new carbon materials, which include natural graphite processing, porous carbon, indoor air quality controlling, and so on. He has got some achievements in graphite intercalation compounds and carbon materials for environmental protection. He was awarded the National Invention Prize (3rd rank) and got 6 Chinese patents and 2 United States patents. He has published more than 60 papers. He was Co-Chairmen of Carbon2002 which was held in Beijing.
