摘要:

Interfaces, such as surface, heterophase boundary, and grain boundary, can be treated as thermodynamically stable states, with their structure, chemistry, and property greatly deviating from the abutting bulk phases. In order to differentiate them from bulk phases, interfacial states exhibiting phase-like behaviors are termed “complexion”. Aberration-corrected transmission electron microscopy greatly motivated the development of interfacial complexions, the transition of which are closely related to crystal growth, grain growth, sintering, and grain boundary embrittlement phenomena. Here, I will present our recent efforts in uncovering the unprecedentedly atomistic details of interfacial complexions within a variety of commonly used material systems by advanced electron microscopy, including general grain boundaries of metals (Ni, Al) and ceramics (WC, SiC, B4C, etc.) as well as their phase boundaries (WC-Co). Complexion diagrams are created as a powerful tool to guide the rational microstructure design of nanostructures and polycrystalline materials.


报告人简介:

喻志阳,福州大学化学学院和能源与光催化国家重点实验室研究员。2011年博士毕业于清华大学,导师朱静院士;2011-2015年在美国里海大学从事博士后研究;2016-2017任厦门理工学院讲师,副教授;2018年受聘福州大学闽江特聘教授。主要研究方向为使用球差校正电镜技术探讨材料、化学和物理等交叉学科中的表界面科学问题,在Science,Nature Catalysis,Science Advances,Material Horizons等知名期刊发表论文60余篇。共主持国家自然科学基金面上和青年项目2项,福建省雏鹰计划青年拔尖人才项目1项,福建省自然科学基金等省部级项目2项等。
