柳百新

        材料学院教授,中国科学院院士。1935年出生于上海市。 1961年毕业于清华大学工程物理系。1981-1982年在美国加州理工学院访问研究。现任美国物理学会理事(Fellow)、国际波姆物理学会(载能粒子与固体相互作用)科学委员、以及国际期刊Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research B的顾问编委会委员。

离子束与固体的作用及材料改性、计算材料科学、薄膜材料、核材料等。


先后获得过10多项国家自然科学基金的重点和面上项目、“863”高科技和“973”国家重点基础研究项目的科研经费。在国际合作研究中,还得到国际原子能机构、美国通用汽车公司和联合技术公司的经费资助等。在Science Citation Index(SCI)收录的期刊上发表论文420多篇,其中包括在Physics Reports; Advances in Physics; Materials Science and Engineering: Reports等期刊上发表的7篇综述性论文。

率先提出多层膜离子束混合在二元金属系统中形成非晶态合金(金属玻璃)的经验规则和热力学模型。首创用离子束方法研究固体薄膜中的分形生长,并用分数维数来表征固体相变的行为。提出金属多层膜中发生固态非晶化反应的热力学和动力学的判据,并用分子动力学方法揭示其原子运动机制。阐明离子注入形成金属氮化物的规律。发展出强流金属离子注入制备金属硅化物的新技术。用电子辐照为快中子堆的结构材料提供肿胀数据。构建了物理多尺度的计算与模拟平台,能应用于研究和揭示金属材料科学问题的宏观与微观尺度上的机理。用第一性原理计算亚稳合金相的稳定性、磁学性能、并发展和完善了第一性原理计算辅助构建多体势的方法。率先建立了能预言二元金属玻璃形成的原子尺度理论。
