Experimental platform

1. Virtual simulation experiment teaching platform
The multi-functional virtual simulation laboratory can realize the goal of 30 students/times to carry out virtual simulation experiment projects at the same time. It has immersive 3D stereo display system and professional 3D computers. It will not only be used by the students of this major or department, but can be shared between different majors and colleges to maximize the effectiveness of the laboratory.

2. Ceramic material preparation platform
The preparation of the ceramic material is a polycrystalline sintered body having a certain strength, physical properties and microstructure by powder as a raw material, through pretreatment, molding and firing. The ceramic material preparation platform is mainly an experimental platform for the preparation and performance characterization of ceramic materials for undergraduates. The platform has basic equipment for the synthesis, molding, sintering, and structural properties of ceramic materials, including filter presses, sand mills, various molding equipment, high temperature furnaces, ball mills, particle size analyzers, and RT. Tester, etc. The experimental conditions for the preparation of ceramic materials are provided for undergraduates.        

At present, the courses offered by the platform include experimental courses such as “Material Science and Engineering  Experiment Ⅱ”, “Material Science and Engineering Experiment Ⅳ”, and “Understanding Materials in Experiments”. At the same time, SRT students are accepted to conduct various ceramic material preparation studies on this platform every year.

3. Mechanical performance test platform
The mechanical performance test platform is equipped with CMT4304 microcomputer control electronic universal testing machine, ZBC7750-B pendulum impact testing machine, UPT203i transflective polarizing microscope and UP-RDY polarizing melting point instrument and other mechanical properties testing and microscopic observation equipment.

The laboratory mainly carries out the testing of the mechanical properties of materials, including the tensile, compression, bending, impact and other mechanical properties of various materials such as metal, ceramics and plastics. Students master the testing principles and methods of mechanical properties and mechanical performance test standard conditions.

4. Metallographic heat treatment platform
It includes dozens of equipment such as box type and well type high and low temperature electric furnace, Rockwell, Vickers, micro hardness tester, microscope and polishing machine. It is mainly used for heat treatment experiment in "Material Science and Engineering Teaching Experiment I". "Experimental Parameter Test and Control" Experiment of thermocouple sensor detection experiment and hardness test in "Material Science and Engineering Teaching Experiment  I"

5. Photothermic performance test platform

(1) Optical analysis test platform
The platform includes UV-Vis spectrophotometer and other equipment, which can be used in "Experimental Parameters Testing and Control" and "Material Science and Engineering Teaching Experiment III, IV" in thin film optical and dielectric properties experiments;

(2) Thermal analysis test platform
The platform includes DTA, TG, thermal expansion, high-temperature conductivity tester and other equipment, which can be used in the thermal test part of the "Experimental Parameter Test and Control" experiment and the material thermal performance experiment in the "Material Science and Engineering Teaching Experiment III, IV".

6. Polymer composite platform
The polymer composite preparation platform is equipped with extruders, injection molding machine, 3D printing wire forming machine, hot press machine, stereoscopic curing 3D printers, fusion forming 3D printers, student-developed mixing machine, etc. Students use their own ingredients, adjust parameters and make samples, which is good for students to experience the influence of process parameters on products and master the production process and modification method of polymer composite materials. 3D printing materials forming teaching helps students to be enthusiastic about the research and exploration of high-end materials.

At present, the main experiments of polymer composite material preparation platform include: “self-made 3D printing silk” and “3D printing molding” experiments, including experimental items: glass fiber reinforced modification experiment, EVA toughening reform experiment, graphite conductive modification experiments and so on.

7. Electromagnetic performance test platform
The platform includes four-probe testers, bridges, high-impedance meters, magnetic properties measuring instruments, magnetic balances, tubular electric furnaces, stress strainers, electrochemical workstations, vacuum diffusion pumps and other equipment. They are used in the magnetic and semiconductor electrical performance testing part of the " Experimental Parameter Test and Control " experiment and in the film electrical performance experiment part of the "Material Science and Engineering Teaching Experiment III, IV" and in electricity, mechanics , electrochemical test part of the "Experimental Parameter Test and Control Experiment ".

8. Film material preparation platform
The platform has four sets of magnetron sputtering equipment and thermal resistance evaporation coating equipment for the film preparation experiment in “Material Science and Engineering Teaching Experiment III” and the experiment in “Experimental Parameter Test and Control”.
